HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY WISHING THREADS SEND MOM'S WISHES INTO THE SKY

In the beginning, crystals were believed to be formed from the frozen breath of the Roman goddess Aeternitas. When pieces were found in the mountains around Rome, it was thought to be an omen of good fortune. To increase their super power, crystals were (and still are) cut with many facets to reflect and amplify energy. Over the years, legends have grown that crystals will carry your wishes through the night sky to the gods; bringing much health, happiness and
prosperity to the owner. We're not positive but like to believe this is true.

The roots of Mother’s Day intertwine with traditions far older than this holiday (even though it's a great one to have). They trace back to ancient civilizations that venerated motherhood through various deities and festivals. This proves (surprise, surprise) that there are obviously deep historical roots celebrating motherhood. The core idea of honoring the nurturing and all other aspects of motherhood remains a constant. In other words, we adore our Moms and want them
to be happy and always have throughout the generations.

WISHING THREAD ENDLESS KNOT

The Endless Knot has no beginning or end. It symbolises the infinite wisdom and compassion of the Buddha. It represents the endless movement of time and the eternal continuum of the mind. The interlaced design also represents the interconnectedness of all beings on earth.

The "magic" of red cardinals stems from a deeply rooted blend of folklore, spiritual belief, and striking natural beauty, often regarded as a bridge between the earthly and spiritual realms. They are widely seen as messengers, bringing comfort, hope, and reassurance from departed loved ones

WISHING THREAD-CELTIC CROSS
|
The Celtic Cross is a symbol that holds immense cultural significance beyond its religious connotations. It represents the profound heritage and history of the Celtic people and serves as a poignant reminder of their traditions, values, and deep connection to the land. The arms of the cross offer four ways to ascension, an invitation to objectively know nature, wisdom, god/goddess, and the self. The most common belief is that
it symbolizes the sun and its life-giving properties, derived from the Celts’ pagan roots.

Rob McIntosh is unique. A group of shops in historical buildings that pride ourselves on our diverse product selection. Moms first but we love all family. Lots and Lots of Moms, Dads and Kids coming to visit do make us happy. We have something for everyone at almost every price point and for almost every taste. Our long-time followers laugh in that they never know what they will run into at any time in one of our 5 buildings. It's so much fun (Our joke is that
our back hallway which connects two big buildings is like a "Disney World for Adults"). Because the square footage is so large, the second joke is that it's somewhat like a Jane Fonda "walking workout" when you've been through all the buildings. But...we do have the greatest shopping carts which roll smoothly and we can lean on easily. All that said, we love Moms. We love visitors so if you're in the neighbourhood, do come and see us. (One time, a lovely lady flew in
from Winnipeg. Her husband gave her a trip to our store as a Birthday present.) Our Polar Bear Cafe has Butter tarts, Cinnamon rolls, Jim's Glengarry cookies, Mackintosh toffee and lots and lots of other goodies just waiting for you to try. Have a good week and if you'd like to share this newsletter, please do. I almost forgot but reviews are good too. The only really important time is now. So enjoy. Barb McIntosh
