For all our Wrendale lovers, we thought you'd be interested in some statistics. In the last 12 months, Rob McIntosh Unique Shops has sold 1372 Wrendale items (236 different products - multiples of some). The Little Wren Childrens Dinnerware collection was clearly the standout product (and we were out of stock for about 3-4 months as we couldn't get enough). Yes, the
Little Wren collection is not porcelain but made from 100% melamine. It is a durable, lightweight, BPA-free, and dishwasher-safe. After all, it is a children's tableware collection. The best selling placemat was "Winter Skies" which is insanely cute but winter. It is quickly being overtaken by Wrendale Wildflowers which is new and charmingly summer. Aside from Christmas mugs, the two best mugs were Thank You and Moo Cow. (Cows are in this year it seems) Of
course, lots and lots of runners up. (AI came up with these statistcs in 5 minutes so it does have some uses) but pretty much all of us at Rob McIntosh were aware that the Little Wren collection is practical, cute, value driven and kids love it.

In 2012, Wrendale, a totally loveable collectible, started life on a kitchen table in Melton Ross, Lincolnshire, U.K. The artist, Hannah Dale studied zoology at Cambridge before embarking on a career as a stockbroker in London. Then...she met Jack, a farmer from her home county. After moving home and with a little one on the way, Hannah indulged in her passion of painting animals from life. And...to make money, she hit upon the idea of launching a range of mugs and cards.
Then...Wrendale morphed into a "must-have" collectible dream. And...now, 'Little Wren' exists which focuses exclusively on baby animals and really brings the ‘cute factor’ to this collection." Rob McIntosh can testify that the results have been a hit. And...the little foxes in this mug are so loveable. Out of 666 mug sales, Little Wren mug was the winner by a mile.

Even though the "Little Wren" Collection is NOT about Wrens, just for fun: I researched Wrens. Wrens are unremarkable-looking songbirds with big personalities. They are brown, relatively small, and rather plump birds with distinctive upright tails and big voices. but they really are cute. So the name fits.

Pimpernels are definitely fun to have and these two Wrendale patterns combine the quality of Pimpernel with the Whimsy and Charm of Wrendale. Pretty great product. (I can see why Wildflowers is catching up to Winter Skies. The race is on)

Rob McIntosh Unique Shops are so pleased to be a group of shops in a seriously historic location (where Ontario Began) that search out unique products to present to the Canadian public. We, at present, are looking all over the world for these unique items and it has been a hoot (talking Wrendale talk). Wrendale has charm, character and around 88% of their products (mostly the paper products) are made in England. The porcelain mugs are mostly manufactured overseas
but overseen by a historic British company called Royal Worcester For Royalty followers, Lady Diana's kitchen dishes were made by Royal Worcester (a pattern called Evesham). Moving on...Just to keep you in the "What's happening at Rob McIntosh loop: we just got our Spring men's sweaters from Ethnic Blue in from France - made in Portugal. Zowie! At home, Canada is showing the world our unique strengths and abilities. At Rob McIntosh Unique Shops, we want to be part of the
Canada is clever trend. We'd love you to come and see for yourself all the amazing products we are gathering and letting the world know that retail is alive and well and fun. Have a coffee at the Polar Bear Cafe (and of course a sweet to go with it). Wander the hallways, go across our parking lot to our Canada House Mall to see the Spring Tilley hats, the super new Manitobah moccasins. Some pretty cool "Must Haves" in every location. Also some pretty big bargains in what we jokingly
call our "Blue" room. We love visitors and love to hear your stories. Do come and if you'd like, please share this newsletter (and/or give us a review). Until next time, be kind and have fun. Barb McIntosh
