Kaija Heitland is a woman of Métis and Scandinavian ancestry living on the traditional lands of the Cowichan tribes on Vancouver Island, Canada. Kaija has elevated the moc game with the Modern Moccasin. This sleek design boasts an outsole design created with top-grade leather for a luxurious, barefoot feel. The original mocassin with a sleek modern look. Wow.

This is a mocassin. It feels like you're walking next to the earth but looks like a million dollar shoe. How slick.

All the NEW spring styles and colors of Manitobah are so special..10,000 years of design and quality built into a totally trending style. Indigenous tribes across North America designed the original moccasin from a practical point of view. The deerskin leather was soft, pliable and easily cut and lasted for years with minimal repair. Moccasins protect the foot while allowing the wearer to feel the ground. The Plains Indians wore hard-sole moccasins, given that their territorial geography featured rock and cacti. The Eastern Indian tribes wore soft-sole moccasins, for walking in leaf-covered forest ground. Originally completely functional, the unique blend of form, function, and material has allowed the shoe to thrive for all these years. We, at Rob McIntosh, are now pushing the style aspect. The material and workmanship are well known but over the top looks for summer-this is it.

Living and working in Glengarry, near the Quebec border, where almost everything is historical to some degree, one is always aware of the absolute pureness of the Canadian spirit, work ethic and sense of fairness. We at Rob McIntosh are convinced that Canadian productivity, creativity and economic prosperity are going to get healthier and healthier all the time. With our great indigenous population across the country helping to keep our designs attached to the Universe and
the Earth, the diversification of our country has only added to its strength. At Rob McIntosh, we believe in Canada. With Canada Day rapidly approaching (I wish the weather would warm up around here. It's late this year), we can't talk enough about products that represent the Canada we love. Come and see. Have a coffee and a cinnamon roll in out Polar Bear Cafe and chat with our staff who are waiting to hear your stories. Old customers and new customers we
invite you all to have a fun experience visiting our 23,000 square foot store. The Manitobah products are housed in a 200 year old former one room schoolhouse which last year had a major facelift to be ready to house the Manitobah products. Probably extended the building's life another 100 years. Try these products on and you'll be a convert to 10,000 years of comfort. If you get a chance, do give us a review. If not, we're really glad you came. Do come
again. Til next week. Barb McIntosh
